Throughout this series, we explored economic leakage, barriers facing farmers, missing infrastructure, biological value, and the networks that hold communities together. Each path ultimately led to the same place: people. Human Leakage and the Continuity Gap examines what happens when knowledge, relationships, and experience fail to move between generations, and why rebuilding Southern Oregon may be less about creating something new and more about preserving, sharing, and passing forward what already exists.
