Rogue Media Solutions (RMS) • DIY Business Launchpad for All 50 States

Start a business without guessing – or paying for things you can do yourself.

Built in Oregon. Designed for all 50 states. What you are buying

A working launch system, not another generic startup checklist.

The Launchpad is for people willing to do the work themselves without burning time on scattered tutorials, conflicting advice, unnecessary services, and avoidable rework. It keeps the correct order, official sources, free options, and technical handoffs in one system.

50-state official setup

Structure, name checks, state registration, EIN, tax and license checkpoints with official federal, state, and local source links.

Money setup

Business banking, bookkeeping, payment processing, and employer setup when it applies.

Website + email

Domain, WordPress, professional email, forms, security, backups, and launch essentials.

Google visibility

Business Profile eligibility and setup, Search Console, analytics, Bing, and conversion tracking.

Saved progress

Check off steps, stop when life happens, and resume where you left off instead of starting over.

A real finish line

Launch QA, local visibility, RVBC submission, and an RMS audit request if you want another set of eyes.

Why this exists

I built this because I went through the same maze.

The hard part was not being willing to do the work. It was figuring out which website was actually official, what I really had to pay for, what was optional, and what people were charging to do something I could legally do myself. That became a rule for the Launchpad: show the cheapest legitimate path first.

The Launchpad money rule

  • Free official method before a paid convenience service.
  • Required government fees are separated from optional costs.
  • EINs go directly through the IRS – $0.
  • State registration and tax setup start with official state agencies.
  • Free public and nonprofit help comes before paid consulting when it can solve the problem.
  • RMS, partner, and affiliate tools are optional and shown because they add value, not because the Launchpad pretends you need them.

Your state first. Local rules next.

The Business Guide starts with your state, locality, business type, and hiring plans. It uses federal and state official sources first, then tells you what still needs to be checked with your city, county, or industry regulator.

If a current fee, deadline, permit, or rule cannot be verified, the Guide is supposed to say so instead of guessing.

Meet Remi, the RMS Business Guide

Meet Remi, the RMS Business Guide. It is a little nod to Ratatouille: when you are staring at a pile of ingredients, it helps to have someone who knows what goes together and what comes next. For a business, those ingredients are registration, banking, website, email, Google, analytics, security, and more. Tell Remi what you are building, your state, and where you are stuck. You get six free questions here.

Full roadmap

From idea to operational business foundation.

You do not have to complete every optional tool. The point is to know what matters, what applies to you, and what can wait.

01Start Here

Define the offer, customer, service area, and what success looks like.

02Name + Structure

Compare common structures, check your state’s official name records, and choose deliberately.

03State Registration

Go directly to your state’s official registration office for the entity or assumed business name and record renewal details.

04EIN + State Tax Setup

Get an EIN directly from the IRS for free, then identify the state tax registrations that actually apply.

05Licenses + Permits

Check official state, city, county, and industry sources instead of paying a filing service to guess for you.

06Banking + Books

Separate business money, choose bookkeeping tools, and establish a repeatable recordkeeping routine.

07Employer Setup

For businesses hiring workers: federal and state employer registration, payroll tax accounts, reporting, workers’ compensation, and labor-agency resources.

08Domain + Website

Secure the domain, build an owned WordPress presence, and publish the pages customers actually need.

09Professional Email

Move business communication onto your domain and set up account security correctly.

10Forms + Workflow

Set up intake, quote, booking, or request forms so leads do not live in random messages.

11Payments

Choose a processor, test the full customer flow, and document refunds and receipts.

12Google Business Profile

Confirm eligibility, claim or create the profile, and build complete local business information.

13Analytics + Search

Connect GA4, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and the conversions that matter.

14Security + Backups

Use MFA, unique passwords, backups, updates, and basic website security before trouble starts.

15Launch + Local Visibility

Run final QA, publish, test every conversion path, and build local visibility. Southern Oregon businesses can also connect into the RMS and RVBC ecosystem.

This is for you if…

  • You want to build the business yourself.
  • You are comfortable following instructions and using official websites.
  • You want an owned website and professional digital foundation.
  • You want to spend money where it matters instead of paying someone for every click.

Bring RMS in when…

  • You would rather run the business than learn DNS, WordPress, email authentication, analytics, and Google setup.
  • Your ownership, tax, licensing, or legal situation is unusually complex.
  • You need a custom ecommerce, membership, booking, or automation system immediately.
  • Your time is worth more than the hours you would spend doing the setup yourself.

DIY first. RMS when it makes sense.

Get the foundation straight, then decide how much of the internet side you want to own.

The first seven steps are the business foundation: what you are selling, structure, registration, tax setup, licenses, banking, and employer obligations when they apply. Remi is trained to help you get through that part. From the domain and website forward, the technical stack gets broader—and that is where you can keep following the Launchpad or hand pieces to RMS.

Less guessing

Know what is required, what is optional, and which source is actually official before you spend money.

Less rework

Do things in an order that reduces the odds of rebuilding accounts, pages, tracking, or workflows later.

Less tool-hopping

Keep the business setup, website stack, Google visibility, analytics, security, and launch sequence connected.

Steps 1–7: get the business foundation in place

  • Define the offer, name, structure, registration, tax setup, licenses, banking, and employer obligations that actually apply.
  • Use the Business Guide to translate confusing requirements and identify the official place to verify them.
  • Keep required government steps separate from optional paid convenience services.
  • Once the foundation is settled, you are in a much better position to build the customer-facing system correctly.

Steps 8–15: DIY it, or let RMS take the internet side

That means domain, owned website, professional email, forms, payments, Google Business Profile, analytics and search tools, security, backups, and launch QA. You can follow the Launchpad and do it yourself.

If your time is better spent running the business, RMS can audit what you have, fix one piece, or take over the whole digital buildout. The point is not to make the stack look easy; it is to make the next decision clear.

How it works

Buy it once. Work at your own pace.

1. Purchase access

Checkout through RMS for $99. This is a one-time charge, not a monthly subscription.

2. Open your Launchpad

Sign in with the email connected to your purchase and start at the module that matches where you are today.

3. Save as you go

Your completed steps and business setup answers stay with your Launchpad account so you can return later.

Third-party costs are separate. That can include required state or local filing fees, licenses, a domain, hosting, software, professional services, or payment-processing fees. The Launchpad separates required costs from optional convenience costs. The IRS does not charge for an EIN. Some optional tool links inside the Launchpad are affiliate or referral links; RMS may receive a commission at no additional cost to you, but the free or lower-cost legitimate route is shown first when one exists.

FAQ

Before you buy.

Does the $99 include state filing fees?

No. The $99 is for the RMS Launchpad itself. Required government filing fees, licenses, domains, hosting, software, and other third-party costs remain yours. The Launchpad is built to separate those required costs from optional convenience services so you can see the cheapest legitimate route.

Will RMS file my LLC or EIN for me?

No. This is intentionally DIY. The Launchpad points you to official sources and walks you through the sequence. Your EIN should be obtained directly from the IRS for free.

Is this legal or tax advice?

No. It is operational and educational guidance. When a decision has legal, tax, accounting, insurance, or regulated-industry consequences, the Launchpad tells you to verify the requirement with the responsible agency or qualified professional.

Do I have to buy every tool you recommend?

No. Optional tools are clearly separated from required government or operational steps. Use what solves a real problem for your business.

What if I get stuck?

Use the existing RMS help request inside the Launchpad. You can keep the rest of the project DIY and only ask for help at the point where you actually need it.

Can RMS take over later?

Yes. If the DIY route stops making sense, RMS can audit what you built, repair specific pieces, migrate or manage the website, or scope a more complete system.

Is this really for all 50 states?

Yes. The federal and state startup path is designed for all 50 states. Remi asks for your state, locality, business type, and hiring plans before giving state-specific guidance, and it prioritizes official government sources. City, county, and industry requirements still vary. Oregon and Southern Oregon get an additional local RMS and RVBC layer.

Do it yourself. Pay only where paying actually helps.

Start with the cheapest legitimate route, use official sources first, finish the digital setup, and leave with a business system you understand because you built it.
